On Sunday 21st June 2015, Sir David and Miss Essex 2015 met the Legendary Sixties Tiller Girls after their fantastic performance at the London Palladium for the Music is Magic show.

The Legendary Sixties Tiller Girls regularly appeared on Sunday Night At The London Palladium in the 1960’s and 70’s and they were back on the same stage on Sunday night to celebrate the success of the Music Man Project. They still deliver breath-taking precision dances, spectacular costumes and a sprinkling of Hollywood allure wherever they perform; much the same as they did 50 years ago!

The Tiller Girls were originally launched by the creator of precision dance – John Tiller as far back as 1890. By 1920, he had eighty troupes performing all over the world from Broadway to Paris, as well as in Hollywood movies for Busby Berkeley. 125 years later, the Tiller Girls are still going strong, with new recruits upholding the Great British Brand of the Tiller Girls with their dancing feet firmly in the 21st century.

Sir David was honoured to have the chance to meet the Legendary Sixties Tiller Girls, saying: “There have been many different Tiller Girls over the years and all have unfailingly managed to dazzle audiences with their talent for precision dancing, but the Sixties Girls were undoubtedly one of the best groups in the 125 year Tiller history, so it was fantastic to meet with them and see them perform on The London Palladium stage once again.”
